AIIMS CRE-5 Re-Exam 2026 – Admit Card & Exam Day Rules

Per Notice No. 127/2026, candidates appearing in the re-exam must follow these rules:

  1. Separate admit card per shift: A separate admit card will be issued for each shift you're scheduled for. Carry the admit card for that specific shift along with a valid original ID proof to the centre.
  2. Download from the official portal only: Admit cards must be downloaded from aiimsexams.ac.in using your login credentials via the Recruitment tab (rrp.aiimsexams.ac.in). No hard copy will be sent by post.
  3. Print two copies: Print two full-page copies of the admit card for each shift/date — one for the exam centre and one to keep for later selection formalities.
  4. Only the newly issued admit card is valid: Entry to the re-exam centre will be allowed only with the freshly issued admit card for the re-exam, not the original CRE-5 one.
  5. Multiple shifts possible: If you applied for more than one affected Group Code, you may need to appear in more than one shift — check your admit card carefully for exact dates and reporting times.
  6. No changes allowed: Requests to change centre, date, or time will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  7. Centre allotment: Based on your preference/choice in the application form and availability of computer nodes; candidates applying under multiple codes will, as far as possible, get the same centre — though in some cases a different centre within the same city may be allotted.
  8. Provisional admit card: Admit cards are issued provisionally without scrutiny of eligibility, category, or experience, purely to allow you to sit the exam. Candidature can still be cancelled later if any discrepancy is found.
  9. Unfair means strictly barred: Furnishing false information (e.g., false PwBD status to evade fees, false category/qualification claims) will be treated as malpractice, and candidature can be cancelled with further penal action as per rules.

AIIMS CRE-5 2026 – Which Group Codes Are Affected

The re-examination applies only to candidates who appeared under these seven Group Codes. Every other CRE-5 Group Code is unaffected, and AIIMS has said results for those codes will be declared separately, in due course.

Group CodePost(s)
3Data Entry Operator Grade A / Junior Administrative Assistant / Lower Division Clerk / Upper Division Clerk
20Personal Assistant / PA to Principal (S) / Stenographer / Private Secretary
28Assistant Security Officer
32Junior Medical Record Officer (Receptionist) / Receptionist
33Junior Warden / Warden / Hostel Warden
48Telephone Operator
58Social Security Officer / Manager Grade-II / Superintendent / Social Security Officer (Audit)

What This Means for AIIMS CRE-5 Candidates

If you appeared under Group Code 3, 20, 28, 32, 33, 48, or 58, your earlier CBT attempt from 25–27 July will not count — you must appear again on 31 August or 01 September 2026, as per your allotted shift. Candidates who already had an admit card for CRE-5 under these codes will be considered for the re-exam admit card too, but this is subject to verification against official examination records, so a fresh card is not automatic and must be freshly downloaded before the exam. All terms of the original Detailed Recruitment Advertisement (Notice No. 93/2026 dated 13.06.2026), plus this and any later notices or corrigenda, continue to apply.

If your Group Code is not among the seven listed above, this notice does not affect you — your CRE-5 result will be processed and declared separately, and there is no need to prepare for a repeat test.

AIIMS CRE-5 2026 – What Affected Candidates Should Do Now

  1. Check your Group Code and shift: Confirm whether your Group Code is one of the seven listed (3, 20, 28, 32, 33, 48, 58), and note whether you fall in the 31 August or 01 September schedule.
  2. Do not assume your earlier attempt counts: The July 25–27 attempt for these codes will not be used for results.
  3. Download the fresh admit card: Log in at aiimsexams.ac.in (via the Recruitment tab / rrp.aiimsexams.ac.in) to download your shift-wise re-exam admit card once activated.
  4. Print two copies: One for the exam centre, one to retain for future selection formalities.
  5. Plan for multiple shifts if needed: If you applied under more than one affected code, check carefully whether you're required to appear on both days.
  6. Avoid visiting in person: AIIMS has clarified candidates do not need to visit the Examination Section physically regarding this notice.
