Quick Summary

AIIMS has announced a re-examination for CRE-5 2026 candidates under 7 Group Codes after the July 25-27 CBT. The earlier exam for these groups won't count toward results.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi conducts the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) — a centralised test used to fill Group B and Group C non-faculty posts across AIIMS institutes and participating central government healthcare organisations, instead of running separate drives for each institute. Its official examination portal is aiimsexams.ac.in.

AIIMS CRE-5 Re-Exam 2026 – What You Need to Know

AIIMS has announced a re-examination for candidates who appeared in CRE-5 2026 under seven specific Group Codes. The decision follows the CRE-5 Computer-Based Test held from 25 to 27 July 2026, and was approved on the recommendation of an Expert Committee. What This Means for AIIMS CRE-5 Candidates

If you appeared under Group Code 3, 20, 28, 32, 33, 48, or 58, your earlier CBT attempt from 25–27 July will not count — you must appear again once the fresh exam is scheduled. Candidates who already had an admit card for CRE-5 under these codes will be considered for the re-exam admit card too, but this is subject to verification against official examination records, so a fresh card is not automatic. All terms of the original Detailed Recruitment Advertisement, plus any later notices or corrigenda, continue to apply.

If your Group Code is not among the seven listed above, this notice does not affect you — your CRE-5 result will be processed and declared separately, and there is no need to prepare for a repeat test.

AIIMS CRE-5 2026 – What Affected Candidates Should Do Now

  1. Check your Group Code: Confirm whether your Group Code is one of the seven listed (3, 20, 28, 32, 33, 48, 58).
  2. Do not assume your earlier attempt counts: If your code is affected, the July 25–27 attempt will not be used for results.
  3. Watch your dashboard: Log in regularly at aiimsexams.ac.in to check for the re-exam date and fresh admit card.
  4. Avoid visiting in person: AIIMS has clarified candidates do not need to visit the Examination Section physically regarding this notice.
  5. Be ready on short notice: The re-exam may be scheduled with as little as 10 days' advance notice, so keep your documents and preparation ready.
