BSNL SET 2026 – What Appearing Candidates Should Know
Candidates selected as Senior Executive Trainees will be appointed in the Executive Grade (E-3) IDA Pay Scale of ₹24,900 – ₹50,500. The salary structure is highly lucrative, anchored by an Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) currently estimated above 236% of the basic pay, plus standard HRA (9%, 18%, or 27%) and cafeteria approach perks. Consequently, the expected monthly in-hand salary at the time of joining ranges between ₹76,000 to ₹87,000 before statutory deductions.
The upcoming Computer-Based Test (CBT) on 05 July 2026 is a single-stage examination consisting of 200 objective-type questions (200 marks) to be completed in 180 minutes. The paper is divided into Part I (Aptitude Test, 40 marks) and Part II (Core Technical Subject, 160 marks). Candidates must be extremely cautious of the negative marking system, which penalizes 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
