CBSE Group A, B & C 2025 Admit Card – Overview

CBSE Group A, B & C 2025 follows a multi-stage selection process — Written Exam (Tier I & II) followed by a mandatory Skill Test — making it highly competitive for the 124 available vacancies. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the Skill Test Exam City intimation slip on 01 July 2026. Candidates who cleared the Tier II examinations can now verify their allotted cities at cbse.gov.in to arrange their travel. The recruitment, initiated in December 2025 (Advt No. CBSE/Rectt.Cell/14(88)/2025), spans positions from Junior Assistant (Level 2) to Assistant Secretary (Level 10). General, OBC, and EWS candidates paid an application fee of up to ₹1750 (for Group A), while SC, ST, PH, and Female candidates paid a subsidized fee of ₹250.

How to Download CBSE Skill Test Exam City / Admit Card 2026 – Step by Step

1. Visit the Online Portal: Open the authorized CBSE examination services portal at examinationservices.nic.in.
2. Access Login Section: Click on the link designated for "City Information for Skill Test (DRQ 2026)".
3. Enter Credentials: Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth (format DDMMYYYY) along with the security pin.
4. View Allotment: Verify your allotted test city, venue address, and reporting time for the skill test.
5. Print Admit Card: The final e-Admit Card (call letter) containing specific instructions will be available to print from the same portal roughly 3-4 days before your exact test date.

CBSE Group A, B & C 2025 – What Appearing Candidates Should Know

Candidates appearing for Group C posts (Junior Assistant and Junior Accountant) must clear a rigorous computer-based typing test. The required typing speed is exactly 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi. To put this in perspective, 35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10,500 Key Depressions Per Hour (KDPH) and 9,000 KDPH respectively, measured on an average of 5 key depressions for each word. Candidates must prioritize accuracy, as excessive backspacing or errors can significantly drag down the final calculated net speed.

The recruitment encompasses a wide spectrum of pay levels governed by the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). Group A posts, such as Assistant Secretary and Assistant Director/Professor, are premium administrative and academic roles placed in Pay Level-10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500). Group B posts, including Superintendent and Junior Translation Officer, are placed in Pay Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400). Group C clerical roles, such as Junior Assistant and Junior Accountant, are stationed at Pay Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200).

Once the Skill Test results are finalized, the board will compile the ultimate merit list. This final ranking relies exclusively on the marks obtained in the Tier II (Mains) examination, provided the candidate has successfully passed the skill assessment. Selected candidates will be called for comprehensive Document Verification (DV) at the CBSE headquarters in Delhi, where all original academic, typing (if applicable), and category certificates will be thoroughly vetted.
