NTA CUET UG 2026 – Overview

11 to 31 May exam dates. Over 45 participating Central Universities. One centralized entrance test. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the admit cards for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026, inviting candidates to download their hall tickets through cuet.nta.nic.in. The nationwide testing window runs from 11 May 2026 to 31 May 2026. The minimum qualification required to appear is a Class 12 (Intermediate) pass or appearing status, with absolutely no upper age limit restriction. During the application phase, General category candidates paid a base fee of ₹1000, while EWS/OBC paid ₹900, and SC/ST/PH paid ₹800, with additional charges applicable per extra subject chosen.

In the 2025 academic cycle, over 14.9 lakh students registered for CUET UG — the 2026 cycle continues to experience monumental participation as the primary gateway for undergraduate admissions into India's premier central and state universities.

The National Testing Agency strictly adheres to its published timeline for the CUET UG 2026 examination. With admit cards now active, candidates must verify their exam dates and shift timings.

Note: The online application form was specially re-opened from 23-26 February 2026, and a subject update correction window was provided from 17-19 April 2026 for registered candidates.

NTA CUET UG 2026 – Application Fee

The application fee structure was divided into a base fee (covering a specific number of subjects) and an additional charge for every extra subject the candidate opted to appear for.

Age Limit for NTA CUET UG 2026

There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing in the CUET UG 2026. However, candidates must fulfill the specific age criteria (if any) mandated by the individual University/Institution/College they are seeking admission into.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed their 10+2 Intermediate Examination from any recognized Board in India (such as CBSE, ICSE, or State Boards). Candidates currently appearing for their Class 12 board exams in 2026 are also fully eligible to take the test.

NTA CUET UG 2026 Admit Card – How to Download

The NTA CUET UG 2026 Admit Card is a mandatory document. Without it, no candidate will be allowed entry into the examination hall. Follow these steps to download your hall ticket:

1. Visit Official Portal: Access the NTA CUET UG portal at cuet.nta.nic.in or the direct link provided in the official links section below.
2. Locate Admit Card Link: On the homepage, click on the prominent link labeled "Download Admit Card for CUET (UG) 2026".
3. Enter Login Credentials: Input your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the Security PIN displayed on the screen.
4. Verify Exam Details: Once logged in, your admit card will be displayed. Verify your name, photograph, exam date, shift timing, and exact test center location.
5. Download and Print: Save the document as a PDF and print it on an A4 size paper. Ensure the print is clear and the barcode/QR code is fully legible.

NTA CUET UG 2026 – Exam Syllabus & Paper Pattern

The CUET UG 2026 exam is structured into three distinct sections. Section IA & IB covers 33 distinct languages. Section II comprises 27 domain-specific subjects, where candidates attempt questions based on the NCERT Class 12 syllabus. Section III is a General Test focusing on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, and Quantitative Reasoning. Candidates can choose their subjects based on the prerequisites of their target university programs.
