The advanced exam city intimation slip was previously released on 10 June 2026. The computer-based tests (CBT) covering 83 specialized subjects are scheduled to be conducted over multiple shifts from 22 June to 30 June 2026.

UGC NET Eligibility Recap & Age Limits
Candidates appearing for the exam must adhere to the baseline academic and age criteria set by the UGC and NTA.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing in a Master's Degree in the concerned subject with at least a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). Additionally, candidates holding a 4-Year Bachelor's Degree are also eligible under specific conditions outlined in the brochure.
- Age Limit for JRF: Maximum Age is 31 Years. Standard category-wise age relaxations apply.
- Age Limit for Assistant Professor (NET): There is No Upper Age Limit for candidates applying solely for Assistant Professor.

Candidates must utilize the official NTA examination services portal to securely download their hall tickets. Follow these steps:
- Access the Testing Portal: Open your web browser and navigate directly to the NTA authentication server at examinationservices.nic.in or via the main portal ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- Locate the Admit Card Link: On the homepage, find and click on the prominent link labeled "Download Admit Card for UGC NET June 2026".
- Enter Login Credentials: Input your system-generated Application Number and your Date of Birth using the dropdown menus (DD/MM/YYYY).
