RBI Grade B Notification 2026 : Age Limit

  • Minimum Age : 21 Years
  • Maximum Age : 30 Years
  • Age Relaxation Extra as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Grade B Officers Recruitment Rules 2026. For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications, upper age limit is 32 and 34 years respectively.

Phase II Exam Pattern & Instructions

  • The Phase II examination will be conducted in shifts. It comprises both Objective and Descriptive type questions.
  • Paper I: Economic and Social Issues (50% Objective, 50% Descriptive) - 120 Minutes.
  • Paper II: English (Writing Skills) (100% Descriptive, typed with keyboard) - 90 Minutes.
  • Paper III: Finance and Management (50% Objective, 50% Descriptive) - 120 Minutes.
  • Candidates must bring a printed copy of the e-Admit Card along with a valid original Photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, etc.) and a photocopy of the same ID to the examination center.
  • Electronic gadgets, mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

  • Navigate to the "Current Vacancies" section and click on "Call Letters".
  • Click on the link titled "Admission Letters, other guidelines and information handouts for Phase-II examination for Direct Recruitment for the post of Officer in Grade 'B' - 2026".
  • You will be redirected to the IBPS authorized login portal.
  • Enter your Registration Number / Roll Number and Password / Date of Birth.
  • Enter the Captcha code correctly and click on "Login".

1. When will the RBI Grade B Phase II (Mains) Exam 2026 be conducted?

The Phase II Examination for Officers in Grade 'B' (General) is scheduled for 25 July 2026. For DEPR and DSIM posts, the Phase II/Paper II & III examinations will be held on 26 July 2026.

3. Is the RBI Grade B Phase II Exam descriptive or objective?

The Phase II Exam consists of three papers. Papers I and III have a mix of Objective (50%) and Descriptive (50%) questions. Paper II (English Writing Skills) is completely Descriptive and requires candidates to type answers using a keyboard.

4. Are calculators allowed in the DSIM/DEPR Phase II exams?
