Shortlisted candidates can now log into their regional portal accounts at rrb.digialm.com to check their assigned exam cities. The CBT II exam is confirmed for 28 July 2026. Minimum qualifications required during application included Class 10th with ITI, Diploma, or B.Tech degrees, competing for a starting pay scale of ₹19,900 (Level 2, 7th CPC).

How to Check RRB ALP CEN 01/2025 CBT 2 Exam City – Step by Step

The exam city slip confirms your test center location so you can make travel arrangements. The actual admit card with the specific center address will be released 4 days prior to the exam.

1. Visit Login Portal: Go to the official RRB applicant login portal at rrb.digialm.com.
2. Enter Credentials: Log in using your Registration Number (generated during the application) and Password (usually your Date of Birth in DDMMYYYY format).
3. Locate City Slip Link: Upon successful login, click on the "City Intimation Slip" tab on the dashboard.
4. Verify Details: Your allotted Exam City, State, Exam Date, and Shift timings will be displayed on the screen.
5. Save for Reference: Download and print the slip. Remember, this is NOT the admit card and will not grant entry into the examination hall.

RRB ALP CEN 01/2025 – What Appearing Candidates Should Know

Assistant Loco Pilots selected under CEN 01/2025 are placed in Pay Level-2 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), starting with a basic pay of ₹19,900. However, the most significant component of an ALP's salary is the Running Allowance (Kilometreage Allowance - KMA), which is paid based on the distance trained. When combined with standard Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA), the expected monthly in-hand salary easily crosses ₹35,000 – ₹42,000 depending on the zone and operational hours.

The CBT II examination for RRB ALP is fundamentally different from CBT I. It consists of two parts. Part A (90 minutes, 100 marks) tests Mathematics, General Intelligence, and Basic Science & Engineering — this score determines your merit. Part B (60 minutes, 75 marks) is a Trade-specific qualifying test. Candidates must score a minimum of 35% in Part B to be considered, regardless of category. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd for every incorrect answer in both parts.

Candidates who successfully clear CBT II will not immediately proceed to Document Verification. Based on Part A merit (and qualifying Part B), candidates equal to 8 times the total vacancies will be shortlisted for the highly critical Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). A vision standard of A-1 (6/6 without glasses) is strictly enforced during subsequent medical evaluations.
