How to Download RRB Group D 2026 Admit Card & Exam City – Step by Step

Candidates must carry a printed copy of the e-call letter (admit card) to the examination center. Follow these instructions to check your exam city and download the hall ticket.

1. Visit the Official Portal: Open the centralized Railway recruitment portal at rrbapply.gov.in or your respective regional RRB website.
2. Find the Exam City Link: Look for the prominent link labeled "Advanced Exam City / Admit Card Download for CEN 09/2025 (Level-1 Posts)".
3. Login Credentials: Enter your Registration Number (received during the OTR application process) and your Date of Birth (DD-MM-YYYY).
4. Check Intimation Slip: The screen will display your assigned Exam City, Exam Date, and Shift. This slip is for travel planning and is NOT the admit card.
5. Download Admit Card: Exactly 4 days before your displayed exam date, log back into the same portal to download and print your official e-call letter.

RRB Group D 2026 – What Appearing Candidates Should Know

Candidates selected under the RRB Group D (CEN 09/2025) recruitment drive are placed in Pay Level-1 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix. The starting basic pay is ₹18,000 per month. When standard allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and Night Duty Allowance (if applicable) are added, the starting monthly in-hand salary generally ranges between ₹25,000 and ₹30,000 depending on the class of the posting city.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) for Level-1 posts carries 100 marks and must be completed in a strict 90-minute timeframe. The paper is structured across four sections: General Science (25 marks), Mathematics (25 marks), General Intelligence & Reasoning (30 marks), and General Awareness & Current Affairs (20 marks). A negative marking penalty of 1/3rd of a mark applies to every incorrect answer. Strategic time management and accuracy are paramount given the high competition ratios.

Candidates who clear the CBT cut-off will proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This stage requires rigorous physical stamina. Male candidates must lift and carry a 35 kg weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down, followed by a 1,000-meter run in 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Female candidates must lift a 20 kg weight for the same distance and time, and complete the 1,000-meter run in 5 minutes and 40 seconds. Both tests allow strictly one chance only.
