Candidates appearing for the Preliminary Examination can download their hall tickets by navigating through the official IBPS/SBI careers portal using these steps:

1. Visit Official Portal: Open the official SBI Careers page at sbi.co.in/web/careers.
2. Find the Call Letter Link: Under the "Current Openings" tab, locate "Recruitment of Probationary Officers 2026" and click on "Download Preliminary Exam Call Letter".
3. Enter Credentials: Log in using your Registration Number (or Roll Number) and Password (or Date of Birth in DD-MM-YY format).
4. Solve Captcha: Input the security code shown on the screen and click the "Login" button.
5. Print Hall Ticket: Your admit card will be displayed. Download it and take a clear, color printout to present at the exam centre along with an original photo ID.

SBI PO 2026 – What Appearing Candidates Should Know

Candidates selected under the SBI PO 2026 drive are placed in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). The starting basic pay is ₹41,960 (which includes 4 advance increments) in the pay scale of ₹36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840. Along with standard Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or leased accommodation, and Transport Allowance (TA), the initial gross monthly compensation typically falls between ₹65,000 and ₹70,000 depending on the posting location.

The Phase I Preliminary exam for SBI PO 2026 is an objective Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 100 marks and must be completed in exactly 1 hour. The paper is strictly divided into three sections: English Language (30 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions), and Reasoning Ability (35 questions). Each section carries a discrete 20-minute time limit, meaning candidates cannot swap between sections. There is a penalty for guessing, with 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.

The Preliminary exam is purely a qualifying stage; marks obtained here will not be added to the final merit list.
