UP B.Ed JEE 2026 – What Appearing Candidates Should Know
The UP B.Ed Joint Entrance Examination is conducted strictly in offline (OMR) mode and is divided into two comprehensive papers held on the same day (Morning and Evening shifts).
Paper I (Morning Shift): Tests General Knowledge (50 questions) and Language capability (Hindi or English - 50 questions).
Paper II (Evening Shift): Tests General Aptitude (50 questions) and Subject-specific knowledge (Arts, Science, Commerce, or Agriculture - 50 questions).
Each paper carries 200 marks, totaling 400 marks for the entire exam. Crucially, candidates must be highly strategic with their answers, as the exam enforces a strict negative marking policy of 1/3rd mark for every incorrect answer. Guesswork can severely damage a candidate's state rank.
On exam day, candidates must carry two copies of the printed admit card with identical photos pasted, an original valid photo ID proof (like Aadhaar, PAN, or Voter ID), and two additional passport-size photographs. Candidates must use only black ballpoint pens to fill the OMR sheets. Electronic devices, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the examination premises.
