Running Requirements
| Gender | Distance | Maximum Time Allowed |
|---|---|---|
| Male Candidates | 4.8 Kilometers | 28 Minutes |
| Female Candidates | 2.4 Kilometers | 16 Minutes |
Important: Candidates failing to complete the run within the stipulated time will not be eligible for enrollment and will be immediately eliminated from the selection process. There are no second chances or appeals granted for failing the physical test, regardless of health or other reasons.
Key Administrative Instructions
- Committee Supervision: The test will be conducted under the supervision of a committee comprising a Deputy Collector, a Medical Officer, and a Deputy Superintendent of Police, ensuring representation across necessary categories.
- Electronic Timing: Manual timing is strictly prohibited. The board will use standardized electronic timing equipment with CCTV coverage and biometric backups to ensure absolute transparency and prevent impersonation.
- Absence Policy: If a candidate fails to appear on their scheduled date, they (or their representative) must submit a written representation to the committee on the *same day*, explaining the reasons. The committee may grant one additional opportunity before the final reserve day. No requests submitted after the designated date or via email/post will be entertained. Note: Female candidates will not be granted extra time beyond the reserve day due to pregnancy or other reasons.
- Substance Abuse: The use of steroids, stimulants, or intoxicating substances during the PET is considered unfair conduct. If confirmed, the candidate's application will be canceled, and legal action will be initiated.
