- Visit the Official Website: Navigate to upsssc.gov.in using a compatible browser.

UPSSSC ASO 2026 – What Appearing Candidates Should Know
Candidates selected for the Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) position under the Uttar Pradesh government are placed in Pay Level-6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), which features a basic pay scale of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400. After incorporating current Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA), the initial monthly in-hand salary generally ranges between ₹48,000 and ₹55,000, making it a highly rewarding state administrative role.
The UPSSSC ASO Mains written examination is a specialized test consisting of 100 objective-type questions worth 100 marks, to be completed in a 2-hour (120 minutes) duration. The paper is strictly segmented into three parts: Part I tests deep subject-related knowledge in Statistics/Mathematics (65 marks), Part II focuses on Computer & Information Technology concepts (15 marks), and Part III evaluates General Information and Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh (20 marks). Candidates must be extremely cautious of the negative marking system, as 0.25 marks (1/4th) will be deducted for every incorrect response.
