Quick Summary

AIIMS New Delhi has released the Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5) 2026 notification (Advt. No. 93/2026) for 1484 Group B and Group C non-faculty posts across 28 AIIMS institutes and Central Government healthcare bodies. Apply online from 13 June to 3 July 2026 at aiimsexams.ac.in. CBT exam from 25–27 July 2026.

1,484 permanent central government posts across 28 of India's premier medical institutions — opened in a single recruitment window that closes in just 20 days. AIIMS CRE-5 (Common Recruitment Examination-5) 2026 is the broadest single-window recruitment drive in the healthcare sector this year, spanning 57 distinct post groups, qualifications from Class 10 to postgraduate, and a Computer Based Test scheduled for 25–27 July 2026. Compared to CRE-4 (2025) which notified 1,383 posts, CRE-5 adds 101 more vacancies — and unlike many Central Government recruitments, candidates who qualify in the CBT are allowed to rank-order their institute preferences, giving them meaningful control over which of the 28 participating AIIMS and Central Government bodies they are allocated to.

AIIMS CRE-5 Recruitment 2026 – Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has officially released the Detailed Recruitment Advertisement (DRA) for Common Recruitment Examination (CRE-5) 2026 vide Advt. No. 93/2026 on 13 June 2026. The recruitment notifies 1,484 vacancies for various regular Non-Faculty Group B and Group C posts across 20 AIIMS institutes and 8 other Central Government healthcare institutes and bodies, including ICMR, CNCI Kolkata, Dr. RML Hospital New Delhi, Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), RIPANS Aizawl, AIIMS-CAPFIMS, and the Pasteur Institute of India. Posts span 57 post groups covering nursing, pharmacy, laboratory services, administration, engineering, data management, and technical healthcare roles. Eligible candidates with qualifications from Matriculation/10th pass up to postgraduation can apply online at aiimsexams.ac.in from 13 June 2026 to 3 July 2026 (5:00 PM). The Computer Based Test (CBT) is tentatively scheduled for 25 to 27 July 2026.

In CRE-4 (2025), AIIMS notified 1,383 Group B and C posts across participating institutes. CRE-5 (2026) records an increase to 1,484 posts — an addition of 101 vacancies (+7.3%) year-on-year — reflecting continued expansion of AIIMS campuses, particularly newer AIIMS institutes that are scaling up their non-faculty workforce.

📋 Key fact for multi-group applicants: Candidates may apply for more than one post group in CRE-5 2026, but each group requires a separate application form and a separate fee payment. Applying to multiple groups multiplies the fee accordingly (₹3,000 per group for General/OBC; ₹2,400 per group for SC/ST/EWS; Nil for PwBD). There is no cap on the number of post groups a candidate may apply to, provided they meet the eligibility for each.
