Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
Educational Qualification
- Master's Degree: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in the relevant or approved allied subject.
- Minimum Marks: 55% marks at the Master's level for General/EWS candidates. A relaxation of 5% (i.e., 50% minimum) is applicable for SC/ST/BC/EBC/Women/PwD candidates.
- Additional Qualification: Candidates must have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or SLET/SET.
- Ph.D. Exemption: Candidates holding a valid Ph.D. degree (as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016) are exempted from the NET/SLET requirement. They must produce a 'Five-Point NET Exemption Certificate' issued by their university.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years (calculated as of 1st July of the advertisement year).
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Bihar State Government rules. Reservation benefits apply only to candidates holding a valid Bihar Domicile certificate.
Selection Process & Marking Scheme
There is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection is entirely based on a 100-mark evaluation structure consisting of an Academic Score evaluation and a Personal Interview/Teaching Demonstration.
Academic Score Evaluation (88 Marks Maximum)
- Ph.D. / JRF / NET: Maximum 22 Marks (Ph.D.: 11 marks, JRF: 11 marks, NET: 8 marks. Combined maximum capped at 22).
- Post Graduation: Maximum 26 Marks (80% & Above: 26 marks; 70%-<80%: 23 marks; 60%-<70%: 20 marks; 55%-<60%: 17 marks).
- Graduation: Maximum 17 Marks (80% & Above: 17 marks; descending scale below that).
- Intermediate (10+2): Maximum 13 Marks (Calculated as 13/100 × Percentage obtained).
- Matriculation (10th): Maximum 10 Marks (Calculated as 10/100 × Percentage obtained).
Interview-cum-Demonstration (12 Marks Maximum)
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview which includes:
- Teaching Demonstration: 6 Marks
- Interview / Interaction: 6 Marks
