Age Limit for IBPS PO/MT-XVI 2026

Age as on 1 July 2026. Candidates must be born between 2 July 1996 and 1 July 2006 (both dates inclusive) for the General category. Age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Educational Qualification for IBPS PO/MT-XVI 2026

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification, completed on or before the eligibility cut-off date specified in the official notification. Candidates in the final year of graduation are not eligible to apply.

IBPS PO/MT-XVI 2026 – Pay Scale & Salary

Probationary Officers selected under IBPS PO/MT-XVI 2026 join at Junior Management Grade Scale-I with a starting basic pay of ₹48,480 per month. Along with Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance (or leased accommodation), Travel Allowance, and medical benefits, the gross monthly emoluments are expected to range between approximately ₹65,000 and ₹76,000, depending on the city classification of the posting bank.

Candidates must clear the sectional and overall cut-off in both Prelims and Mains to advance. Prelims marks are purely qualifying and are not added to the final score.
