NALCO Non-Executive 2026 – Exam Pattern & Salary Details
The selection process involves a Written Test followed by a Trade Test (skill test) for technical proficiency. The written test generally comprises two parts: Part I focuses on Subject Knowledge (relevant engineering or ITI trade) while Part II tests General Aptitude (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General English, and General Knowledge). Only candidates clearing the written test cut-off will be called for the Trade Test, which is purely qualifying in nature.

Candidates selected as Junior Operative Trainees (JOT) undergo a one-year training period receiving a fixed stipend (typically ₹12,000 to ₹15,000). Upon successful completion, they are absorbed into the regular T0 scale (₹29,500 – ₹90,000). Direct appointees like Jr. Foremen and Grade III Technicians are placed in the T1 scale (₹31,500 – ₹1,17,000).
