Eligibility Criteria: Are You Ready?

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age. Specifically, for NDA 2 2026, candidates must have been born not earlier than January 2, 2008, and not later than January 1, 2011. There is no age relaxation for any category.

Educational Qualification

• For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2 pattern) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
• For Air Force, Naval & Indian Naval Academy: Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board or university (10+2 pattern) or an equivalent examination.
• Candidates who are appearing in Class 12 are also eligible to apply.

Application Fee

The application fee for NDA 2 2026 is Rs. 100/- for General and OBC candidates. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, female candidates, and sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from paying the application fee. Payment can be made online through SBI Net Banking, Visa/Master Card/RuPay Debit or Credit Card, UPI, or by depositing cash at any SBI Branch.

The application process is entirely online and requires candidates to first complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the UPSC website. Here's a quick guide:

2. For new candidates, complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process by providing your email ID, mobile number, and other required details.
3. Verify your email and mobile number, then create a password.
4. Log in using your registered email ID and password, or mobile number and OTP, or Universal Registration Number and password.
5. Fill out the application form carefully, providing personal, educational, and communication details.
6. Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the prescribed format (JPG/JPEG, 20 KB to 300 KB). You will also need to upload a valid photo ID card (like Aadhaar or PAN) in a single PDF format.
7. Pay the application fee (if applicable) through the available online modes.
8. Select your preferred examination centre.
9. Review all the details thoroughly before final submission.
10. After submission, download and print the confirmation page for your records.
