NEET UG 2026 – Context Depth: Exam Day Security & OMR Rules

Security protocols for NEET UG 2026 are exceptionally rigorous. Candidates will undergo mandatory frisking using highly sensitive metal detectors. To minimize frisking time, NTA recommends keeping everything in a transparent pouch if necessary. Only a transparent ballpoint pen (Blue or Black) and a transparent water bottle (without any labels) are allowed inside the hall.

Regarding the OMR sheet, candidates must use only the permitted pen provided by the center or as instructed. Once an answer is darkened, it cannot be changed, erased, or overwritten. Any damage to the OMR sheet, such as folding or multiple markings, may lead to invalidation of the response. It is advised to verify the location of the exam center a day in advance to avoid last-minute delays.
