BPSSC ASI Operation 2026 – What Qualified Candidates Should Know

Candidates who cleared the preliminary examination will now proceed to the Mains Written Examination. The Mains phase consists of two papers. Paper-I is a General Language test (comprising Hindi and English questions) with 100 questions to be solved in 1.5 hours; this paper is qualifying in nature and requires a minimum of 30 marks. Paper-II forms the core of the final merit, featuring 100 questions (60 from Physics and 40 from General Knowledge & Current Affairs) with a 2-hour duration.

Following the Mains examination, successful candidates will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Although technical in nature, this police post mandates physical fitness. Male candidates must complete a 1.6 KM run in exactly 7 minutes, while female candidates must complete a 1 KM run in 7 minutes, along with specific long jump, high jump, and shot put (Gola Fek) benchmarks.

Selected Assistant Sub-Inspectors (Operation) in the Bihar Police Radio wing are placed in Pay Level-5. After factoring in standard state allowances such as DA, HRA, and Transport Allowance, the expected initial in-hand salary ranges approximately between ₹35,000 and ₹45,000 per month depending on the posting location and applicable deductions.
