The wait is over for music-proficient youth aiming to join the armed forces. The Indian Airforce (IAF) has officially released the Admit Card for the Agniveer Vayu (Musician) Intake 01/2027 recruitment rally on 17 August 2026. Registered unmarried male and female candidates can now download their provisional admit cards to participate in the rally scheduled between 31 August and 09 September 2026 at designated Air Force Stations in Kanpur and Bengaluru.

The recruitment process is progressing swiftly. Candidates must ensure they report on the exact date and time mentioned on their respective admit cards.

How to Download Airforce Agniveer Vayu Musician Admit Card 2026

Candidates must download and print their provisional admit cards to gain entry to the rally venue. Follow these steps:

1. Visit the Official Portal: Open the IAF Agnipath recruitment website at iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in or agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
2. Navigate to Candidate Login: Click on the link designated for "Agniveervayu (Musician) Intake 01/2027 Admit Card / Candidate Login".
3. Enter Credentials: Log in using your registered Email ID / Registration Number and Password / Date of Birth.
4. Download Admit Card: Once logged in, locate the admit card download link on your dashboard. Verify the rally venue (Kanpur or Bengaluru), date, and reporting time.
5. Print the Document: Download the PDF and take a clear color printout. Read all the instructions printed on it carefully.

Rally Day Requirements: What Candidates Must Carry

Candidates reporting to the rally venue must be fully prepared with the necessary equipment and documents. Failure to produce the required items will result in immediate disqualification.

• Musical Instruments: Candidates MUST bring their own musical instruments (from List A or B as per notification) for the practical proficiency test.
• The Provisional Admit Card: A clear printout of the admit card.
• Original ID Proof: Aadhaar Card is mandatory. (Candidates from J&K, Ladakh, Assam, and Meghalaya may carry another valid photo ID if they do not possess an Aadhaar card).
• Photographs: Ten un-attested recent passport-size color photographs. The photo must be taken with the candidate holding a black slate in front of their chest with their name and date of photo written clearly in white chalk.
• Educational & Musical Certificates: Original and four self-attested photocopies of the Matriculation (10th) passing certificate/marksheet, and the mandatory Musical Experience Certificate (Grade 5th TCL/RSM, Diploma, or participation certificates).
• Consent Form: A duly filled and signed Consent Form for the Physical Fitness and Medical Test (signed by a parent/guardian if the candidate is below 18 years of age).
• Stationery: HB Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener, Glue Stick, Stapler, and Black/Blue Ball Point Pen.
• Sports Gear: Sports shoes and shorts/track pants for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

Note: Electronic devices, mobile phones, and smartwatches are strictly prohibited inside the testing area.

Selection Procedure & Sequence of Examination

The recruitment rally will be conducted in a phased manner. Candidates must clear each stage to progress to the next.

1. Verification of Eligibility: Initial scrutiny of original documents (Education, Music Certificate, Age, etc.).
2. Proficiency Test in Playing Musical Instruments: Practical test to evaluate pitch, tempo, tuning, and ability to play a complete song/preparatory tune.
3. English Written Test: An objective-type test (30 minutes) comprising 30 questions based on the 10th CBSE English syllabus. Candidates MUST qualify this paper. There is no negative marking.
4. Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
   • PFT-I (Run): 1.6 Km run to be completed within 07 minutes for Males and 08 minutes for Females.
   • PFT-II (Calisthenics): 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, and 20 Squats for Males; 10 Sit-ups and 15 Squats for Females, conducted after brief recuperation periods.
5. Adaptability Test-II: To assess the candidate's suitability for the military environment.
6. Medical Examination: Comprehensive medical check-up including baseline investigations (Blood, Urine, X-Ray, ECG, etc.) as per Armed Forces standards.

Exam Pattern (English Written Test)

Candidates who qualify the Proficiency Test in playing musical instruments will be subjected to the English Written Test.

Answers are to be annotated on an OMR sheet.
