NEET UG 2026 – Answer Key Objection Process Explained
The release of the NEET UG 2026 provisional answer key provides candidates with an essential opportunity to verify their potential scores and contest any discrepancies before the result is finalized. If a candidate finds that a provided answer is incorrect according to standard textbooks, they can file a challenge online.
To initiate a challenge, candidates must log in to the official portal using their NEET credentials (application number and password/DOB). Once inside, the dashboard displays the option to challenge specific question IDs. It is critical to select the correct question ID and attach a clear document containing all supporting academic evidence. Only challenges backed by valid academic proof are considered by the NTA panel.
Each challenged question incurs a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200. After the objection window closes, a panel of subject experts reviews all submitted claims. If an objection is found valid, the official NTA answer key is revised accordingly. The final answer key will then be used to evaluate the OMR sheets and prepare the final NEET UG 2026 results.
