OUAT 2026 – How Your Score Was Calculated
OUAT uses a weighted formula rather than raw entrance marks alone: your entrance test score carries 50% weightage, and your Class 10 and Class 12 academic performance together carry the remaining 50% weightage. Since the exam was conducted across multiple sessions/shifts, scores were normalised into a percentile format before ranks were assigned, which is why the percentile score and the final rank can differ from your raw marks. For UG admissions, OUAT prepares both a common merit list and a category-wise merit list; PG merit is based on the candidate's highest OGPA or percentage in their qualifying degree.

OUAT 2026 – What Happens Next
With the rank card out, the next step is counselling — OUAT will notify the schedule separately on its official portal. Qualified candidates should keep their rank card, admit card, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, category certificate (if applicable), and other required documents ready for verification. General category candidates typically need around 50% marks to qualify for UG admission, with a lower threshold (around 45%) reported for SC/ST categories in past cycles — treat these as indicative until OUAT publishes the official 2026 cutoff, which is usually released only after counselling.
