Tie-Resolution Methodology
Given the high competition, multiple candidates often secure the exact same normalized score in Session-II. SSC resolves these ties sequentially using:
- Marks scored in the General Awareness section of Session-II.
- Total normalized marks scored in Session-I (Maths & Reasoning).
- Date of Birth (older candidates placed higher).
- Alphabetical order of the names.
What's Next: The PET/PST Phase
The 8,477 shortlisted candidates must now prepare for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). This is a qualifying-only stage.
- Walking Standard: Males must walk 1,600 meters in 15 minutes. Females must walk 1 km in 20 minutes.
- Physical Standards: Males require a minimum height of 157.5 cm and chest expansion of 81 cm (fully expanded). Females require a minimum height of 152 cm and a weight of 48 kg. (Relaxations apply for specific categories).
