SSC MTS & Havaldar Result 2026 – Data & Trend Analysis

Against the notice issued on 26 June 2025, SSC received 36,19,834 applications for 8,021 posts, of which 8,04,633 candidates actually appeared for the CBT held across multiple shifts from 4 to 20 February 2026. Since Havaldar posts are shortlisted for PET/PST in a 1:7 (vacancy:candidates) ratio, roughly 8,477 candidates have been called forward against the 1,211 Havaldar vacancies.

Applications → Appeared → Havaldar Shortlist Applications: 36,19,834 Candidates Appeared: 8,04,633 Havaldar Shortlisted (PET/PST): ~8,477 Bar widths scaled to applications received (36,19,834 = full width).

Comparing this cycle against the previous SSC MTS & Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2023-24 (result declared January 2025, total vacancy 9,583 — MTS 6,144 + Havaldar 3,439), the 2025 cycle's total notified vacancy of 8,021 marks roughly a 16% decrease overall. MTS vacancies actually rose by about 11% (6,144 → 6,810), while Havaldar vacancies fell sharply by around 65% (3,439 → 1,211) — meaning Havaldar competition for PET/PST this year is considerably tighter than the previous cycle.
