Security Assistants/Executives inducted under the IB 2025 drive are placed in Pay Level 3 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), with a basic pay range of ₹21,700 – ₹69,100. In addition, IB operatives receive a Special Security Allowance (SSA) at 20% of basic pay, granted over and above standard Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA). Including SSA and other central government allowances, the expected monthly in-hand salary is approximately ₹30,000 – ₹32,000 for a metro or Class X city posting, with a gross salary of around ₹34,130 before standard deductions (NPS/PF contribution and CGHS premium).
