How to Check NCET 2026 Result – Step by Step
The NCET 2026 scorecard is available on the NTA result portal at cnr.nic.in. NTA does not send the scorecard by email or post — every candidate must download it directly. Keep your application number and date of birth or password ready before visiting the portal.
- Visit the NCET 2026 Result Portal: Open cnr.nic.in/Results26/ScoreV2/ in your browser. Alternatively, access the result link from the official NTA NCET website at exams.nta.nic.in/ncet/.
- Enter Your Login Credentials: Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth (or Password as set during registration). Ensure there are no spaces or formatting errors in the application number.
- Click Submit and View Your Scorecard: After successful login, your NCET 2026 scorecard will appear on screen. Verify all details carefully — name, application number, roll number, subject marks, total score, qualifying status (Qualified / Not Qualified), and percentile.
- Check Your Qualifying Status: Confirm whether your score meets the qualifying threshold — 50% or above for General/EWS/OBC category and 45% or above for SC/ST/PH candidates. A "Qualified" status on the scorecard is required for counselling registration at participating institutions.
- Download the NCET 2026 Scorecard as PDF: Click the Download or Print button on the result page. Save the PDF to your device and take at least two printed copies. NTA will NOT re-evaluate or re-issue scorecards once declared; no re-checking request is accepted.
- Save Scorecard for Counselling Registration: The downloaded NCET 2026 scorecard must be submitted at the time of counselling registration at each participating university you apply to. NTA does NOT conduct any centralised counselling — candidates must visit each chosen university's portal separately with this scorecard.
Result Declared: 4 June 2026 | Exam Conducted: 17–18 April 2026
NCET 2026 – What Happens After the Result
NTA's role ends with the declaration of the NCET 2026 result and scorecard. The admission process from this point is entirely managed by the participating institutions individually. There is no single centralised NTA counselling portal for NCET — unlike JEE or NEET, the NTA does not allot seats. Qualified candidates must proactively register for counselling at each university they wish to apply to.
| Stage | Activity | Who Conducts |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Download NCET 2026 scorecard from cnr.nic.in | Candidate (self) |
| 2 | Identify preferred participating universities and check each university's NCET cut-off and seat availability | Candidate (self), using university websites |
| 3 | Register for counselling on each university's official portal (separate registration per university); expected from last week of June 2026 | Each participating university (independently) |
| 4 | University-level merit list / seat allotment based on NCET score, subject preferences, and seats available | Each participating university |
| 5 | Document Verification: NCET scorecard, Class 12 marksheet, category certificate (if applicable), domicile/transfer certificate, passport-size photographs | Each participating university (on-campus) |
| 6 | Fee Payment and Final Admission: Pay admission fees as per university fee structure to confirm seat | Candidate at each participating university |
NCET 2026 – What Qualified Candidates Should Know
The NCET 2026 scorecard contains your subject-wise marks, total score, percentile, and qualifying status. The qualifying marks are 50% for General / EWS / OBC candidates and 45% for SC / ST / PH candidates — set by NTA as the baseline threshold. A score above these marks confirms NCET eligibility; it does not, however, guarantee a seat at any specific institution. NTA shares the score data directly with all 285 participating institutions; candidates do not need to separately "submit" their score to universities — only their scorecard copy is needed at the time of counselling.
The counselling process is fragmented across institutions — each of the 285 NCET-participating colleges releases its own schedule, application form, and merit list. There is no combined portal or centralised choice-filling system. Candidates should visit the official website of every institution they are interested in and apply separately, typically by the last week of June 2026 or early July 2026. Documents required at counselling include the NCET 2026 scorecard, Class 12 marksheet (original + attested copies), category certificate for reserved-category candidates (non-creamy layer certificate for OBC), domicile or transfer certificate, and recent passport-size photographs.
Among the 285 NCET 2026 participating institutions, the Northern Regional Committee institutions account for the largest seat allocation — approximately 8,050 ITEP seats across 83 institutions in states including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bhubaneshwar, and the participating NITs offer ITEP programmes in Science and Engineering-aligned streams; competition at these premier institutions will be considerably tighter than the overall 3.2:1 ratio, given their prestige and limited intake. Candidates targeting IIT or NIT ITEP programmes should note that both their NCET rank and their Class 12 subject combination will be scrutinised at document verification.
