How to Check NTA SWAYAM January 2026 Semester Result – Step by Step
Candidates who appeared for the examinations can instantly download their individual scorecards. The NTA will not send physical scorecards via post to any candidate. Follow these steps:
- Visit Official Portal: Open your browser and go directly to the NTA SWAYAM website at exams.nta.ac.in/swayam.
- Find Result Link: On the homepage, navigate to the "Public Notices" or candidate activity section and click on "Score Card for SWAYAM January 2026 Semester".
- Enter Credentials: You will be redirected to a login page. Enter your unique Application Number and your Date of Birth.
- Submit Details: Fill in the security pin (captcha) displayed on the screen and click on the submit button.

NTA SWAYAM January 2026 Semester – What Qualified Candidates Should Know
To successfully pass a SWAYAM course, candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying criteria set by the respective National Coordinators. Generally, a minimum of 40% passing marks is required. This evaluation is highly structured: candidates must secure at least 12 out of 30 marks in their continuous internal assessments (assignments and quizzes on the SWAYAM portal) and at least 28 out of 70 marks in the NTA-conducted end-term proctored examination.
In compliance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) Credit Framework Regulations of 2021, universities are authorized to permit credit transfer for up to 40% of the total courses in a particular degree program via the SWAYAM platform. For students who have successfully qualified, the NTA shares the final scores with the Ministry of Education. The final digital certificates—featuring the student's photo, marks, and earned credits—are issued directly by the National Coordinators.
Upon receiving the official certificate, students must submit it to their university's designated SWAYAM Nodal Officer or Controller of Examination (CoE). The university will then evaluate the equivalency and map the earned credits to the student's academic transcript and their Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) / Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID.
