Union Bank of India UBI Apprentice 2026 – What Qualified Candidates Should Know
Selected candidates under the UBI Apprentice 2026 program will receive a fixed monthly stipend based on their branch classification for the entire one-year training duration. Candidates posted in Rural or Semi-Urban branches will receive ₹15,000 per month, while those in Urban and Metro branches will receive ₹18,000 and up to ₹20,000 per month, respectively. No other allowances or perks, such as HRA or DA, are payable during this apprenticeship period.
This recruitment is strictly a one-year on-the-job training engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Candidates must note that successful completion of this apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment or direct absorption into the clerical or officer cadres of the Union Bank of India. It serves solely to provide practical exposure to retail banking operations, customer service, and digital banking products.
Following the written result, shortlisted candidates must clear the mandatory Local Language Test (if they did not study the local language at the 10th or 12th standard level) and a Medical Fitness Test before their final engagement. Apprentices will be entitled to one casual leave per month after completing the first month, and their daily training hours will be identical to the regular clerical staff of the bank.
