UP TGT 2022 – Result & Document Verification Overview

The wait is over for candidates who appeared in the Uttar Pradesh Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) exams. Following the result declaration on 30 June 2026, the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the Document Verification (DV) dates and activated the call letter download link for 3,539 TGT posts on 02 July 2026. Eligible candidates holding a Bachelor's degree and a B.Ed qualification applied for this cycle between 09 June 2022 and 10 July 2022. The application fee was ₹750 for General/OBC, ₹450 for EWS/SC, and ₹250 for ST candidates.

UP TGT 2022 – What Qualified Candidates Should Know

Teachers appointed under the UP TGT 2022 recruitment drive are placed in Pay Level-7 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), carrying a Grade Pay of ₹4,600. The basic pay starts at ₹44,900 and scales up to ₹1,42,400. Factoring in current state Dearness Allowance (DA) rates, House Rent Allowance (HRA), and standard deductions, the expected initial in-hand salary falls approximately between ₹60,000 and ₹65,000 per month, varying slightly based on the city or town classification of the posted school.

The Document Verification (DV) process is stringent. Verification panels will cross-check the authenticity of the Bachelor's degree and B.Ed certificates, strictly ensuring that subject combinations align with the state's teaching rules (e.g., verifying specific subject combinations for Social Science and Science). Additionally, candidates claiming reservations must present valid UP state domicile and category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) issued by competent authorities.

Selected candidates will be deployed exclusively to Government-Aided Secondary Schools (Ashaaskiya Sahayata Prapt Madhyamik Vidyalayas) across Uttar Pradesh. The final institution allocation is conducted via a centralized panel system by UPESSC, generally based on the candidate's merit rank and the preferences submitted during the choice-filling stage. Candidates are strictly advised to attend their Document Verification; failure to appear on the scheduled DV date will result in the forfeiture of their claim for the post.
