UPPSC GIC Lecturer 2025 – What Qualified Candidates Should Know

Candidates successfully appointed as Lecturers (Pravakta) in Government Inter Colleges (GIC) are placed in Pay Matrix Level-8 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), which correlates to the pre-revised Pay Band ₹9300–₹34800 with a Grade Pay of ₹4800. The basic pay starts at ₹47,600. When combined with standard state government allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance, the initial monthly in-hand salary falls approximately between ₹65,000 and ₹70,000.

The final selection in this recruitment is purely based on the marks obtained in the written examinations, as interviews for Group B (Non-Gazetted) teaching posts have been abolished in the state. Qualified candidates whose roll numbers appear in the result PDF must now prepare for Document Verification (DV). The commission will issue a separate schedule for DV, during which candidates must physically present their original Master's degrees, B.Ed certificates, valid caste/category certificates, and UP domicile proofs for authentication.
