UPSC CAPF AC 2025 – Pay Scale & What Recommended Candidates Should Know
The final merit list for the Assistant Commandant (AC) role is prepared by aggregating the marks secured in the Written Examination (Paper I & Paper II) and the Personality Test / Interview.
Recommended candidates will be commissioned as Assistant Commandants, a prestigious Group 'A' Gazetted officer rank, placed in Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) matrix (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500). After factoring in Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and force/hardship-specific allowances based on deployment, the starting in-hand salary for newly commissioned ACs is approximately ₹85,000 to ₹95,000 per month.
The Ministry of Home Affairs allocates the forces to recommended candidates based on their merit position, medical fitness, and preferences submitted during the Detailed Application Form (DAF) stage.
